We offer a wide range of ergonomic office chairs in Toronto, including Steelcase Leap v2, Steelcase Amia, Haworth Fern, and Herman Miller Aeron. All our chairs are meticulously inspected, repaired (if required), wet vacuum cleaned with an extractor and steam disinfected. We offer pre-owned, second-hand, reconditioned and remanufactured chairs.

At Greener Postures, we are a proudly Canadian-owned company specializing in high-end refurbished office chairs for businesses and home offices in Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). By choosing to buy local, you’re not only getting a high-quality, sustainable seating solution, but you’re also supporting a Canadian business committed to reducing waste and making ergonomic seating more accessible.
Transparency
We believe in full transparency—these are used chairs, and while we go to great lengths to minimize visible wear, some minor cosmetic imperfections may remain on trim components. To help you make an informed decision, we grade our chairs based on their condition. (Read more about our chair grading process here).
Step 1: Thorough Inspection
Each chair undergoes a detailed multi-point inspection to ensure structural integrity and full functionality. We assess:
✔ Frame condition and stability
✔ Seat mechanism function and tilt adjustments
✔ Lumbar support effectiveness
✔ Armrest adjustability and condition
✔ Caster movement and base stability
Step 2: Repair & Replacement of Key Components
Where needed, we replace or refurbish parts to restore each chair to its original ergonomic function. This includes:
✔ Arm Pads – Typically replaced if worn, ensuring comfort and longevity.
✔ Seat Cushion Padding – New commercial-grade cushion padding is added for enhanced comfort and durability.
✔ Foam Core Steaming – Steamed to revitalize and restore fullness.
✔ Mechanisms – Lubricated to prevent squeaking and improve smooth operation.
✔ Trim & Plastic Components – Buffed and refinished with a protective coating to improve aesthetics.
For Herman Miller Aeron chairs, we also ensure the Pellicle mesh is intact and functional, replacing if necessary.
Step 3: Professional Upholstery & Cleaning
For fabric-covered chairs such as the Steelcase Leap v2 and Steelcase Amia, we perform full reupholstery using commercial-grade, soft-to-touch fabric.
✔ OEM-Style Upholstery – Our fabric chairs are reupholstered with a fully sewn back and stapled finish, following OEM processes to ensure quality and durability.
✔ High-Performance Fabric – We use fabric rated at 100,000 double rubs on the Wyzenbeek durability test, ensuring longevity and resilience.
✔ Deep Cleaning & Sanitization – All chairs are meticulously shampooed, steamed, and disinfected to remove bacteria, stains, and odors.
Step 4: Final Touches & Protective Coating
To maximize longevity and appearance, we go the extra mile with:
✔ Buffing & Finishing – Trim and plastic components are polished and treated with a protective coating to reduce the visibility of scuffs.
✔ Lubrication of Moving Parts – Seat and tilt mechanisms are lubricated to eliminate squeaking and improve adjustability.
✔ Final Quality Check – Each chair undergoes a final round of testing to ensure it meets our refurbishment standards.
